Implementation of training seminars for trainers on standardisation and certification guidelines, for existing and new products, as on the production process of new products

The training seminars for trainers organised by The Region of Epirus within the framework of MeDInno Project had been completed successfully, between 28th and 30th  of January at Ioannina city. At the seminars attended trainers and professionals who work to related sectors. The seminars focused on the standardisation and certification guidelines as well as, the production process of the sheep and goat cheese products, and meat products.

 

The seminars will be continued between 6th  February and 8th  February 2020 at Frontzou Politeia Hotel (Agia Triada Hill, Ioannina), from 09:00 to 17:00, with the following objectives:

 

  • “Specialised ruminant rations (addition of aromatic plants and essentials – Carcass estimation (veal, lamb) – Meat cuts”, 06 th  February
  • “Physico-chemical properties of dairy products”, 07th  February
  • “Production process technology of cheese made by goat milk”, 08th  February

Basic information about the project

MeDInno project – “Joint development of innovative processes and products based on local dairy and meat tradition pertaining to ruminant farming and relevant agri-food sectors” is implemented in the framework of the Interreg V-A “Greece-Italy 2014-2020” Cooperation Programme.

The project is implemented in the regions of Epirus and in the regions of Epirus and Puglia (Italy) and aims to disseminate the existing cheese and meat products of the region and to promote and develop new cheese and meat products in line with the   modern gastronomic trends. Also through a process of know-how transfer and quality standardization, it aims to support the micro & small livestock units in order to upgrade their processes and improve their extroversion.

MeDInno project is co-funded for 841.517,40 euro by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national co-financing within Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014-2020

Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme is an European Territorial Cooperation Programme that aims to help public institutions and local stakeholders to develop cross-border projects and pilot actions and to create new policy, products and services, with the final goal to improve the citizens’ quality of life. Strategically, the programme will enhance innovation in a number of fields such as blue growth, tourism and culture, agro food and cultural and creative industries.
